SA516 Grade 70 Plates
The default carbon pressure vessel plate. Grade 70 carries the highest tensile of the SA516 family, and for sour service it is supplied with controlled sulphur, calcium treatment and HIC / SSC testing so wet H2S equipment can be built from a qualified plate rather than an upgrade alloy.
- Supply options: as rolled, normalised, impact tested at -46 C and simulated PWHT
- Dual certified SA516 Gr 70 / SA516M Gr 485 and SA/A dual stamping
- NACE MR0103 / MR0175 compliant low-hardness supply for sour service
- HIC testing to NACE TM0284 and SSC testing to NACE TM0177 with CLR / CTR reports
- Ultrasonic examination to SA578 Level B / C and Z35 through-thickness grades

[ 02 ] Other grades in Carbon Steel Plates
S355J2+N Steel Plates
Ex-stock DubaiNormalised structural plate with guaranteed 27 J impact energy at -20 C. The J2+N condition gives consistent toughness and flatness through thick sections, which is why it is specified for welded structures, crane and bridge work and heavy fabrication in the Gulf.
S355J2W+N / Corten Steel Plates
Mill indentWeathering structural plate. Copper, chromium and nickel additions let a dense, adherent oxide patina form that seals the surface, so the structure can be left unpainted and the maintenance coating cycle disappears.
SA516 Grade 60 Plates
Mill indentCarbon pressure vessel plate for moderate and lower temperature service. The lower carbon of Grade 60 gives better formability and weldability than Grade 70, which suits cold-formed heads, thin shells and plant where notch toughness matters more than tensile strength.
