Normalised structural plate with guaranteed 27 J impact energy at -20 C. The J2+N condition gives consistent toughness and flatness through thick sections, which is why it is specified for welded structures, crane and bridge work and heavy fabrication in the Gulf.

Weathering structural plate. Copper, chromium and nickel additions let a dense, adherent oxide patina form that seals the surface, so the structure can be left unpainted and the maintenance coating cycle disappears.

Quenched and tempered structural steel with 690 MPa minimum yield. Allows dramatic weight reduction in load bearing structures against conventional S355.
