Oman runs a mix of mature oilfields, a fast-growing Sohar and Duqm industrial belt and a mining sector working copper, chromite and gypsum. All three buy on availability. Road freight from Dubai through Hatta or Al Ain reaches Sohar inside two days, which is faster than any mill can quote.
