Line pipe, plate and CRA for wet H2S duty
Sour service is a documentation problem as much as a metallurgical one. The grade has to be qualified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, the hardness has to be controlled, the plate has to be HIC tested and the paperwork has to survive third-party inspection. We supply the material with that package attached.

- NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliance with hardness, HIC (TM0284) and SSC (TM0177) reports

What makes a line pipe order sour service?
PSL2 supply with restricted carbon equivalent and sulphur, controlled hardness, HIC testing to NACE TM0284 and compliance with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 for the partial pressure of H2S in your fluid. Send the fluid analysis and we will confirm what the grade has to be tested to.
When do we move from carbon steel to a CRA?
When the combination of H2S, CO2, chloride and temperature puts carbon steel outside the MR0175 envelope or the corrosion allowance becomes uneconomic. Alloy 825 clad or solid and duplex 2205 are the usual steps up.
