Supply

What does ex-stock mean and how fast can material ship from Dubai?

Ex-stock means the material is physically in the Dubai warehouse with its mill certificate on file, so it can be cut and released in days rather than months. Mill indent means it is rolled to order, typically 4 to 8 weeks plus freight. Axicor marks every grade on the site with which applies.

Two supply routes sit behind every enquiry, and the difference is usually the whole decision on a shutdown job:

- Ex-stock — the heat is already in Dubai with its EN 10204 3.1 certificate. Plate can be plasma profiled to your drawing and released in days; pipe, bar and fittings ship as cut lengths. This is how breakdown and shutdown requirements get covered.

- Mill indent — rolled against your order. Typically 4 to 8 weeks production plus sea or air freight, and subject to a minimum rolling quantity. This is the route for project tonnages, non-standard sizes and grades that are uneconomic to hold.

On this site, a green marker against a grade means ex-stock, and the datasheet states the stock position and indicative lead time. Because the position changes daily, a written confirmation always accompanies the quotation.

To get a firm answer first time, send: grade and standard, form, dimensions (thickness or OD and wall), quantity, certification requirement (3.1 or 3.2), delivery point, and whether cutting, bevelling or profiling is needed. Dubai's position means GCC deliveries are typically 2 to 5 days from release, East Africa and the Indian subcontinent within a week or two by sea.
